Sex ratio in offline and online casino games

Casinos have become craze globally as more and more players are attracted towards playing the casinos both online and offline. Recent research showed that a typical online casino player was more likely to be female that comprised of fifty five percent and aged between 46 to 55 years age group. These females gambled at online casinos for two to three times a week. Females gambled more frequently than the males and for longer periods of time but they spent lower amounts of money to escape and socialize. This survey is quite surprising as casino is usually considered as a male’s domain. The females playing the casino games are increasing and in certain cases are at par with the males playing the casino games. A new survey reveals that in United States the college going males are playing more online casino gambling and the monthly use of online gambling sites among this section has increased from four percent in 2008 to sixteen percent in 2010. This raise is nearly twelve percent. There is also an alarming fact that there is also a raise in the total online gambling per month in the high-school females from 0.5 percent to 1.5 percent.

The percentage of monthly and weekly playing in casinos both offline and online pertaining to school females in highs school who are in the age group of 14 to 17 years increased by more than nine percent between 2008 and 2010. However, the gambling rate pertaining to high school and college going females is much lower when compared with the males of the same progeny. Therefore, it is observed that there is an overall increase in the percentage of female sex ratio that is playing online and offline casino games.
